There are 11 weekends (including this weekend) left until the start of spring on March 20. If weather permits, of course you can go sledding, skiing, snowboarding, make a snowman or have a snowball fight, etc. Or if the spirit moves you, you can go ice skating. But I don’t particularly like being cold, lol, so I’m putting together a list of 11 warm activities to get you through the rest of the cold winter!Continue reading “11 Activities For Winter Fun”
I shouldn’t say this is a completely new idea, because I’ve been doing it the past couple of years. But it’s something different from the norm, or at least I haven’t heard anyone else talk about it.
New Year’s Day is January 1, and my birthday is January 30. So rather than give in to all the hype that is the media blitz about goals and resolutions at this time of year, I allow myself some grace. During the month of December, I mull over what it is I want to achieve in the new year, some of which I implement on the 1st and some I delay until MY new year, my birthday, at the end of January.Continue reading “A Fresh Take On New Year’s”
It’s New Year’s Eve. The last day of 2018. No better time to look back and reflect on everything that made up this year, the good and the not so good.Continue reading “Year In Review // 2018”
So guys, it’s happening! The year is coming to an end. What?! Just like I couldn’t believe that the fourth quarter was starting back on 10/1, I can’t believe the new year is just two days away. It went by in a flash.
So with the impending new year just days away, I thought today was a good time to revisit the goals I set for Q4 HERE, even though I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t hit too many of them, whomp whomp…
If you read yesterday’s post (or if you missed it you can check it out HERE) you know that one of the ways I like to survive the winter months is by fully embracing the concept of hygge, the Danish term without a true English translation that is the embodiment of coziness and comfort. Even though I know better, I still pronounce it “higgy” in my head (and sing “getting higgy wit it, Na na na na na na na”) hahaha… #sorrynotsorry
So we’re one week into winter and quite honestly, it hasn’t been THAT cold here in the northeast USA. And the next few days are supposed to be in the upper 40s and low 50s—I’ll take it! Fingers crossed, hoping I haven’t jinxed myself now!
Jinx or no jinx, I’m sure that it will get much, much colder before winter comes to an end in March…
Hi guys! Guess what!? I accomplished my end of year goal a couple of days early! If you recall, in the before post of my work office space (which you can check it out HERE) I said I wanted to clean my office out by the end of the year. And even decorate for the holidays a bit. And while it’s still not perfect and some of my hoarding tendencies still exist (they’re just hidden now, haha), my office is looking pretty good! Check it out!
Hello! I hope you all had a joyous holiday! Mine was very nice, exhausting… but a great time with family.
If you read my Christmas Eve Agenda post (HERE) you know what I had planned to get done in the days leading up to Christmas, and I’m pleased to say that I got SO. MUCH. DONE! It was some sort of Christmas (Eve) miracle.
Wishing everyone who celebrates a very, Merry Christmas!
Wishing you a day of fun, love and laughter, time spent with family and friends, good food and festivities.
I’m not sure if the items on my wishlist this year can be made by your elves in the North Pole, or if you can load them into your sleigh tonight. But I’ll ask for them just the same.
