BBG Pre-Training Week 1 Check In

Good morning, happy Saturday and happy weekend! 

So guys, I did it! I actually started BBG this week like I said I was going to in this post. Yay!!! I made modifications for my back and fitness level, and I didn’t follow everything superrr strictly, but I did something! I still sweat up a storm and was sore the next day. And I’m proud of myself for doing it. So I wanted to come on today and just check in with you all, and give you the scoop on how it went!

Make It A Habit // Health & Fitness

Hello, happy Wednesday! I’m jumping on the blog today with a post about fitness, injuries, my relationship with exercise and my goals moving forward.

I never was an athlete growing up. I absolutely dreaded P.E., especially after dislocating my kneecap in 6th grade and then spending three weeks in a straight leg cast to prevent it from happening again. NOTE: it has dislocated several other times over the years, but I digress! It made running less fun (not that it ever was for me, lol), and it also made me more fearful of hurting myself again. I don’t think I ever did another cartwheel after that fateful gymnastics P.E. lesson back in ’96.

To Do // House Projects

My never ending to do list, how I love thee! Projects big and small, maintenance items and minor renovations, purchases and DIYs. Bring. It. On! Okay, maybe I don’t love ALL the things on my to do list… but for the most part, I do.

I was lucky when I found this 1973 condo townhome; the previous owners had done a few major renovations in the short amount of time they lived here, which means I didn’t have to! They opened up the kitchen to make the downstairs open concept, replaced the toilets, HVAC & hot water heater, and added a deck off of the back patio. So when I moved in three years ago, my first round of changes were mostly cosmetic. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as I reveal the before and afters of each space!
