I am not the type of person who puts the TV on just to have some background noise. In that one way I am not my mother’s daughter. I’d much rather sit in silence if I had to choose between the two. I’m more likely to have my favorite music playlist going, or to listen to a new album on repeat. But when I go to the gym, I have found that I prefer listening to podcasts more than music. It’s kinda strange, but I love it. Don’t get me wrong, the perfect song with the perfect beat is magic. Starboy by The Weeknd, that has some magic. But before I turn on any music, I tune into an episode of a favorite podcast. I have a few on rotation right now that I’d love to share with you today.
Hello my lovelies! This week I shared my bathroom tour on the blog, so I thought I’d continue in the vein of self care and hygiene by sharing my current beauty faves. Everything from skin care and makeup, to my favorite products for hair and my daily/weekly routines.
Disclaimer: I am by no means a beauty expert, skin care expert, hair expert, anything expert, lol. I don’t know the exact best things, or methods. I just know what works for me, doesn’t cause me irritation or ill-effect and wanted to share my favorite products as of this moment. Shall we?
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! And I’m so NOT ready..!
As is tradition, my dad and I will be going shopping for my mom tomorrow. If you missed my post about my favorite Christmas traditions (including the Christmas Eve shopping excursion), you can check it out HERE. Though, this year I’m a little nervous that my anxiety will get the better of me. Plus, we have NO idea what to get her, hahaha… okay, I lie, we have ONE idea…
You know the saying, “It’s better to give than to receive?” It’s so true! At least for me. Sometimes it’s difficult to come up with the just right gift though. Especially for parents. Unless they drop hints, haha… or for the younger kids/teens in my life, because to be honest, I don’t know what’s hip and happening anymore, lol. But did I ever really know??
Every year I say I don’t want anything, but then my parents ask for a list so I oblige and put something together. And I am grateful. So I compile an assortment of mostly books, some movies and other little bits that I’ve maybe stumbled upon over the course of the year and have on my wishlist or in a saved cart but never actually buy for myself. Then there are some more boring things like a new head for my Clarisonic and a lid for my smallest frying pan, haha…
