Monday Musings // 6.15.2020

Hello friends, it’s Monday again!

Work was busy last week. And as I’ve said before, I am grateful for that. Though my appreciation is more apparent after the week is over, once I’m at a safe distance from it thanks to the buffer of the weekend. Not so much in the midst of stress-induced heart palpitations though…and now it’s time for it to all start again (well, hopefully not the palpitations again)!

And then Saturday was another kind of busy. This was self-induced busy though! I was ticking tasks off my mini bathroom reno checklist! I’m doing it, guys! I’m planning a few official check-in posts (around 25- 50- and 75 days) to see how I’m doing with all of the goals in my 100 Day Challenge (HERE), but I thought I’d do a mini check-in today with the three things I learned this weekend:

  1. Removing “tile” from my vanity wall is no joke: it is a serious leg workout, and I’m out of shape (and now can barely walk);
  2. I am awesome and removed the wall mirror (!) from the wall even though I was very nervous to tackle it;
  3. The way wall mirrors are installed is ridiculous, and there has got to be a better way.

I also started prepping the walls for sealing and patching, and ordered the new mirrors!

In other news, my best friend shared something super exciting (!!) and my mom finally took the CX-5 out for a test drive (and we survived!).

How have you been? How was your weekend?

Many thanks and much love,
laf
