Here I am again, with another quarterly Project Punch List outline! My Notion database currently has 2-3 tasks scheduled per month… but I’m more inclined to make it just one per month moving forward. That’s more inline with my intention to have a low maintenance summer, too.
If you read last week’s post HERE, where I shared my Q2 reflection and mid-year goal check-in, you’ll know that I expect to extend this goal through next year, and possibly make it a series here on the blog… so reducing my monthly goals for the rest of this year to one task sounds much more doable, and will leave more than enough for next year’s posts, and maybe beyond. Perhaps I’ll even start it this year #accountability
Q2 Recap
As you may have guessed from my intro, Q2 was not particularly successful in Project Punch List land. If you missed the post that outlined everything I wanted to achieve from April through June, you can read it HERE. I did get two of the things done…kinda, 1.5? I ordered the coverlet for my bed (received and opened in June only to find I ordered the wrong fabric—linen not the gauzy cotton— and decided to return it), and I filled the hole in the brick by my front door with spray foam insulation.
Q3 List
Below you will find my original list of goals of 2-3 goals per month for Q3… I’m going to bold the most important one, the one I really want to achieve (but maybe not the one I want to do), each month.
I am also tackling a closet organization project, doing alllll the closets, so they’re the ones I want to do because I love me an organizing project… but there are others I “should” do.
July
Organize bedroom closet (“buildout lite”)!
Clean green off of deck/steps (pushed from Q2) – should do this, not the end of the world if I don’t though…
Clean grease stains in parking spots (pushed from Q2) – really want to get this done too but I’m not too optimistic on how successful I’ll be. It might be something that’s too far gone. Also, this could be an August project… depending when I schedule my summer staycation…
August
Organize bottom of coat closet
Remove blackout from blinds
Fill holes in and paint kitchen window trim
September
Organize hall closet upstairs!
Fill and paint trim on stairway – this really needs to be done, it’s looking nasty but to say I “want” to do it would be a lie… so we’ll see if/when I get to this.
If I didn’t have a bajillion other goals that I try to accomplish each month, I think this punch list would be much easier to achieve. But I’m okay with extending it into next year and beyond. Obviously if something is urgent, I’ll get to it right away, but most of the things can wait.
What’s currently on your list?
